Friends of Baltimore Background Kit

We are pleased to present Sue Garman's new block of the month series Friends of Baltimore.  In designing this quilt, Sue was inspired by the gorgeous album quilts made in Baltimore, Maryland in the mid-1800s.  If you love the elegance of quilts that showcase splendid applique, magnificent flowers, and exceptional quilting, then this Baltimore Album quilt is definitely for you.  Sue's patterns are known in the industry for their thoroughness and this one is no exception.  Because this is a challenging quilt, every tip and trick in the book will be included in the monthly patterns.  Shortcuts, techniques, and alternatives will be provided, along with explicit, detailed instructions, allowing everyone who focuses on the work ahead to make this quilt and be proud of the results.  Each month's kit will include the pattern and fabric for either two of the fifteen-inch blocks or one border.  Each of the four borders is unique, with different vases and flowers.  Background fabric is not in the monthly kits and will need to be purchased separately.  Runs for 12 months.  Finishes at 87" square.

All of our blocks of the month are sold either as kits (which include pattern and fabrics) or as patterns only. Complete Kit Sets include a 10% discount. We guarantee we will supply you with any patterns you need to complete your block of the month quilt. In the case of quilts that are several years old, we may not have kits available.
