Samplers

Join us each month as we demonstrate how to piece Sampler blocks, share upcoming events, and show new products.  Along with our creative customers, we share lots of ideas on ways to turn the blocks into a unique quilt.  Most of our programs are set with add-on applique blocks, and we offer setting patterns.  If you make each block as we go, you will be able to construct all 12 of the pieced blocks for only $6.00.  A few condtions:  To receive your free kits, you must attend and stay through the entire session - no exceptions.  You must return your completed block to the next session to receive the next block free.  For example, bring May's completed block to receive June's free.  Bring June's completed block in July to get July's block free and so on.  If you are unable to attend a session, you may purchase that month's kit for $6 while supplies last, or purchase the pattern only for $2.50 and choose your own fabrics.  Because our classroom only holds 50 people, seating is limited.  We encourage you to bring your Show and Tells!  We love seeing your projects.  

1st Saturday Series 2010

QTQ Friendswood is offering a new First Saturday Sampler designed by Susan H. Garman. Participants will be offered two 6-inch blocks per month in two different colorways:  Batiks and Floral Pastels (You may only get one block free per month).  There will be no add-on blocks.  The meetings will be at new times:  First Saturdays at 9:30 a.m. and the following Monday at 10:00 a.m. Join in at any time.

QTQ at The Woodlands began Bear Paw's Sampler in Batik and Traditional colorways (You may only get one block free per month).  There will be no add-on block.  The meetings will be at new times:  First Saturdays at 9:30 a.m. and the following Monday at 10:00 a.m.  Join in at any time.

3rd Tuesday Sampler 2010
NEW SESSION BEGAN IN MAY AT QTQ FRIENDSWOOD ONLY
Join Vickie along with the 3rd Tuesday Strippers at 10:00 a.m. on each 3rd Tuesday.  All of the blocks this year will involve strippin'.  This year's emphasis will be on scraps - using them up and "scrapping it up."  Each 12" block will be a combination of stripped pieces you create and regular fabric cuts.  You are encouraged to bring your reproduction fabric scraps from home to trade, plus your scissors!
